New Requirement for Stray Animal Drop-Offs in Lebanon City

Humane Society Animal Drop-Off Authorization Form

To ensure accurate municipal tracking and accountability, the Lebanon City Police Department, in cooperation with the Humane Society of Lebanon County, are introducing a new requirement for residents dropping off stray animals at the Humane Society. Effective November 10, 2025, individuals must complete a Humane Society Animal Drop-Off Authorization form prior to bringing a stray animal to the Humane Society. This form is available at the following locations:

* Lebanon City Police Department located at 735 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042
* Downloadable form

If you find a stray dog or cat within the Lebanon City limits and intend to take it to the Humane Society, please provide this form to a Lebanon City Police Officer. The officer will assist in filling out the form, verifying the location where the stray animal was found. This new process aims to ensure that the correct municipality is accountable for the stray animal being dropped off at the Humane Society, promoting a more efficient and accurate tracking system. Your cooperation and assistance are greatly appreciated.
