***Please note that our volunteer program is temporarily on hold for new volunteers due to COVID as well as current staffing shortages. We are not currently holding orientations for new volunteers but hope to start back up soon!***
Our volunteers are essential to our organization, and we could not perform our mission without them. Volunteers are active in every level of our organization, from animal care and client service to data entry and maintenance. Are you ready for a rewarding experience helping people and animals in your community? Click here to submit a volunteer application, or download and print one here!
Before you join us as a volunteer, we request that you first attend a brief but informative orientation at the Ramona Road adoption center. This orientation is generally an hour long, and you’ll learn all about the HSLC and the different roles performed by our volunteers. After that, we’ll work together to find a volunteer position that fits your interests. Check out our “Events” page for upcoming volunteer orientation dates! (Stay tuned! Orientations will be scheduled soon!)
