Northern Lebanon School District rocks!

Our community rocks! This fine group of young folks from the  Northern Lebanon School District recently visited our shelter to drop off donations! This group has supported our shelter in the previous years as well! Woofs, purrs and many thanks for your continued support of our shelter animals! You all are absolutely the best!

Have a question or need more info on our Wish List? Interested in coordinating a donation drive as a Community Service Project for a scout group, work group, church group or sports team, etc.? Please connect with Sharon Riegel at sriegel@lebanonhhumane.org

Christmas Card Shower for shelter animals!

Happening now! Christmas Card Shower for the Shelter Animals!

This year we are asking for your help and support with our First Annual Christmas Card Shower! We want to line the shelter halls and adoption room with cards sent to the animals! Please address a Christmas card to one or more of the animals seen on  HSLC Facebook or at lebanonhumane.org. If you would like, you could enclose a small donation ($1, $5 or more, even a check). Next, address the card and send it to the shelter. We hope to spotlight cards, animals receiving cards and have a donation total near Christmas time.

We are excited to see the cards and the showering of love and support. We have seen other organizations host activities like this with great success and awareness of animals searching for forever homes! We thank you for your consideration and generosity!

The shelter address is:
Humane Society of Lebanon County
150 N. Ramona Road
Myerstown, PA 17067

Hope the mail carrier is ready! Let’s get as many animals Home for the Holidays as we can!

TNR Clinic – June 3

A TNR clinic for stray and feral cats will be held on Saturday,  June 3!  Drop off will be between 9:00 am and 9:30 am.  Pick up will be between 2 pm and 4 pm (or earlier if staff calls once the cat is awake and ready to go home).

These TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) clinics will be low-cost spay and neuter clinics for feral and stray cats. The shelter takes appointments for TNR clinics via phone at (717) 628-1369, or by email at info@lebanonhumane.org. There will be 25 spots available per clinic, with spots being reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. No more than 3 spots will be reserved for a single individual per clinic. Cats must be brought to the shelter either in a trap or in a carrier.

Cost for the clinics is $30 per cat, which includes the spay and neuter surgery and a rabies vaccine. All cats will be ear-tipped for identification purposes. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Additional services offered include a FVRCP vaccine for $10, a FeLV/FIV test for $20, and flea preventative and deworming treatment for $10.

Lebanon City Residents:

To report an area with a large population of unowned stray and feral cats, within the Lebanon City limits, please email: TNR@LebanonHumane.org. The HSLC and the City of Lebanon  have begun a partnership to address these areas of concern through TNR and re-homing services.

Recommended Low-Cost Clinics

While the shelter cannot at this time offer vaccinations or spay/neuter surgeries for the public other than what is offered in clinics, there are a number of low-cost veterinary services which the shelter does recommend to the surrounding community.
