Humane Society of Lebanon County
2018 SUMMER APPEAL
Calling All Superheroes!
We need your help!
When construction began on Disney World in 1967, Walt Disney’s instruction to his managers was to build Sleeping Beauty’s castle first, so that everyone would constantly and clearly see the dream.
We want you to see – and be a part of our dream: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless pets.
Each year, the Humane Society of Lebanon County (HSLC) takes in over 1,500 stray and owner-surrendered dogs and cats, as well as unwanted rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. Thanks to the care and dedication of our amazing staff and volunteers, and the support from our gracious donors, we reunited 169 lost pets with their owners, and placed 1,043 animals in loving homes last year. We hope to exceed that number for 2018.
Your generosity is at the heart of our operations –without your help, we would not have been able to write those happy endings.
HSLC is not only an animal shelter, but also a force for good. By finding these animals permanent and loving homes in our community, we enrich the lives of both people and their pets. We need you on our team of superheroes, and welcome your help in any capacity, through volunteering, fostering, adopting and/or donating.
Running an animal shelter takes a lot of supplies. Your donations pay for food, vaccinations, flea and tick treatments and preventatives, microchipping, spaying and neutering, routine and emergency medical care, and other operating expenses. We also accept unopened bags/cans of dog and cat food donations, as well as new and gently used dog crates and wire cages. If you like to shop online, our Amazon wishlist includes dog and cat enrichment toys as well as dietary foods and supplies.
Through your kindness and generosity, together we can be superheroes for the needy animals who come into our care. Your gift saves lives.
Thank you for being a Superhero!
